Fancy a Cold Beer the Australian Way? Good Beer Week Returns to Melbourne This Weekend!
With a stacked program of tastings, beer & food matching events, workshops, and brewery tours, Good Beer Week is returning to Melbourne! 2018 will mark the 8th year for the event, hosting more than 300 events across Melbourne and surrounding areas. More than eighty thousand beers lovers from across the globe flock to the city to find their new favourite drop. On top of all of this, Good beer week is run by an independent, non-for-profit association.
The main goal of Good Beer Week is to embrace and encourage the appreciation of Good Beer to a wider audience, whilst also putting a spotlight on local brewers and players in the hospitality industry. It is the biggest platform for brewers to showcase their products and step up to the plate as judges choose contenders for the International Beer Awards.
The 10-day festival runs from May 11 to 20, with multiple options to choose from. The program is divided into five main event categories to make it easy for attendees to find events which suit them the most. These categories include Beer Lover, Beer Geek, Foodie, Beer School and Good Times. With this in mind they hope to attract professionals as well as enthusiasts.
So go ahead – explore the best of local and international beer on offer, try something new, and enjoy an event that has put Melbourne on the map as the beer capital of Australia.
