Go West Tours began operations on 1st September 2000, running day tours from Melbourne to the Great Ocean Road.

Go West's proprietors - Terry & Fiona Smit - have a strong background in tourism, having extensive international experience in the tourism industry in not only Australia, but also Europe and Africa.

We decided to establish our own operation as we believed that many purported "tours" were really little more than shuttle buses between sightseeing destinations.

Our operation endeavours to bring a more wholistic approach to the Melbourne tourism experience.

Today, Go West Tours employs 15 staff, including the proprietors, and operates our sight seeing tours daily throughout the year.

As a small Australian family- owned and operated company we believe in offering great value day tours to all members of the tourism community.

As a small operator, our overheads are much lower than our bigger rivals, so we are able to offer what we (and our customers) believe is a better tour at a better price.

Preservation of our natural assets is an integral part of our business philosophy. Each year we work with Greenfleet Australia and plant hundreds of trees to offset our fleet’s carbon dioxide emissions.

We are proudly EcoTourism Accredited, meaning we've ticked all the boxes to make sure our environmental footprint is as light as possible.
